Garissa University(GaU)  participated in the Africa Statistics day event organized by the County government of Garissa on 18th November 2016 at the Government Guest House, Garissa.

GaC was represented by the Deputy Principal in charge of Finance, Administration & Planning , Prof. Irura Ng’ang’a (Extreme right) who made a presentation titled: University role in research for enhanced, sustainable economic transformation for Garissa County and North Eastern region.

The theme of the day was Strengthening economic statistics for regional integration, structural transformation and sustainable development.

The event was aimed at raising public awareness about the importance of statistics in economic and social development.
