DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
About This Course
The Diploma course in Information Technology (IT) is intended to provide students with a wide range of software, technical and technological ICT skills required by industry at the diploma level. The student is expected to develop an IT solution to a practical business problem using an engineering approach.
Duration
Four Semesters
Mode Of Study:
• Two (2) online CATs, one (1) sit-in CAT towards the end of semester, and one end of semester examinations.
Semester Admission Periods:
• January, May, September
Program Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, the graduate should be able to:
i) Provide consultancy and advisory services in a dynamic world of ICT
ii) Design and develop quality and acceptable software solutions
iii) Diagnose, support and develop quality and acceptable ICT infrastructure

Requirements
- Entry Requirement
- To be eligible for admission into the Diploma in IT, a candidate must satisfy one of the following minimum requirements:
- Minimum Grade of C- at KCSE with D+ in both Math and EnglishÂ
- O level Certificate with mean grade of division III A Level qualification with minimum of 1P or 3 Sub with at least a D+Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Certificate in ICT
- Certificate in any Information related courses from KNEC
- Certificate in any Information related courses from KNEC
