Garissa STEM Outreach and Mentorship Program

On 10th Feb, 2024, Garissa University team, led by Dr. Iddi Juma, Dr. Mohamed Hussein, Dr. Nalianya Sitati and Cs. Fowzan Nunow attended the 2024 Garissa STEM Outreach and Mentorship Program at Garissa High School organized by Young Scientists Kenya. The event was graced by Garissa Township MP Hon. Major Dekow and CEC Education’s Ms. Ebla Minhaj. It aimed to popularize STEM in the ASAL Region, inspire students to excel in STEM subjects and provide teachers with training on STEM teaching and emerging technologies. Selected schools will participate in a pilot coding program organized by the Raspberry Pi Foundation.”
