Garissa University Joins a Diverse Community of Stakeholders to Advance Sustainable Innovation

ASSEK Annual Conference & Innovation Awards 2025 – Nairobi, Kenya

Garissa University was actively involved in shaping the future of Kenya’s national innovation ecosystem during the ASSEK Annual Conference and Innovation Awards 2025. The conference took place in Nairobi from 13th to 14th November 2025, under the theme “Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Promoting Innovation, Inclusivity and Socio-Economic Development.”

This high-level forum assembled Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs), investors, policymakers, development partners, academia, and ecosystem leaders for two days of strategic dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaborative engagement.

The Innovation Awards, held as part of the conference, honored outstanding initiatives and organizations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment and innovation in advancing entrepreneurship and ecosystem development in Kenya.

Through this annual gathering, Garissa University once again reaffirmed its commitment as an oasis of innovation, not just in the northern region, but at the national and international front.

The University will continue to partner in the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, working to catalyze policy dialogue, ecosystem alignment, and long-term impact for entrepreneurs and enablers across Kenya.
