Garissa University Shines at the National Diversity & Inclusion Awards!

On Friday 7th March 2025, Garissa University was honored as the Best Public University in Gender representation at the prestigious National Diversity & Inclusion Awards.

The National Diversity and Inclusion Awards & Recognition (DIAR Awards) is an annual event that honors individuals and organizations in Kenya that promote diversity and inclusion.

The 7th National Diversity and Inclusion Awards & Recognition (Diar_Awards) Gala Dinner celebrated individuals and organizations championing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles alongside Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) values in Kenya.

The recognition reaffirms Garissa University’s commitment to promoting an inclusive work environment where diversity is paramount and equal opportunities thrive.

The ceremony was a reminder that inclusion and sustainability are key drivers of progress.

The team receiving the award was led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Ahmed Osman Warfa.
