Garissa University Institute of Peace and Security Studies (GaU IPSS) was established in January 2020 at University’s main campus with support from Frontier Counties Development Council (FCDC) to professionalize and promote peace, security and conflict resolution mechanisms within the region and beyond.

Partners: FCDC, county and national governments, Drylands Learning & Capacity Building Initiative (DLCI). The institute is also seeking for more partnerships with other stakeholders to enable it fulfil its core responsibility of: research, consultancy, community outreach and imparting knowledge, skills & competencies in the provision of peace, security and conflictmanagement
