OPEN DISTANCE E-LEARNING AND CONTINUING EDUCATION (ODECE)

The Directorate of Open, Distance, and e-Learning and Continuing Education (ODECE) at Garissa University is committed to providing flexible, accessible, and technology-driven education to learners across diverse backgrounds. We leverage cutting-edge digital tools and innovative pedagogical approaches to deliver high-quality academic programs beyond traditional classroom boundaries.
The Garissa University (ODECE) was established in 2018 but was operationalized in 2023. The Directorate is responsible for the design, management and administration of all ODECE programs at Garissa University with strict adherence to all established GaU policies, systems, procedures, rules and regulations regarding delivery of academic programs and general administration. All GaU ODECE courses shall be taught through a blended learning mode of delivery (A mixture of face to face interaction and e-learning). In each case, the course material(s) used may either be in a single media or a multimedia format.
