The 5th graduation ceremony of Garissa University
The 5th President of Kenya, H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, graced the 5th graduation ceremony of Garissa University. He was accompanied by the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Hon. Ezekiel Machogu, and Defence Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Aden Duale. Other dignitaries who accompanied the President included Governor Nadhif Jama and current and former MPs.
During the event, His Excellency the President laid a wreath at the University Memorial Garden, laid the foundation brick of the new administration block, commissioned a new borehole in the university, and launched the University Strategic Plan (2023-2027).
Over 700 students graduated with degrees and diplomas. The President congratulated the graduates, noting their success will contribute to Kenya’s development.
